About Me
Hi, my name is Lin Jiang 姜琳. I grew up in Qingdao, China—a beautiful coastal city also known as the beer capital of China (home to Tsingtao Beer!). In 2014, I moved to the U.S. for my undergraduate studies in finance, and then began my career at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
In June 2021, inspired by my mother's thoughtful approach to cooking, I launched Yishi ("ritual" in Mandarin), offering a line of Asian-inspired oatmeal and pancake mixes. Over the next three years, we built a loyal and organic fan base, expanded to nearly 5,000 stores nationwide—including Whole Foods, Sprouts, Walmart, and Target—and even went live on QVC, sharing our story with millions of viewers. It was an incredibly rewarding journey and a fantastic learning experience. As the business and my personal circumstances evolved, we made the decision to exit the venture in 2024.
Currently, I’m completing my MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business while working in restaurant and hospitality investment for the Miami market. Post MBA, I will start a new chapter doing something I’ve been dreaming about for a long time, for a company that I deeply respect.
Outside of work and school, I enjoy creating art, reading, traveling, and cooking at home with my other best egg.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you’ve enjoyed it and I look forward to having the opportunity to connect with you.
